Autopistas and autovías in Spain |
The Autovía A-30 (also called Autovía de Murcia) is a Spanish autovía which starts in Albacete and ends in Cartagena, while also passing through Murcia. It replaced most of the eastern section of the former N-301 road.
The section between Murcia and Cartagena was built in the early 1990s, beginning at a junction with the autovía A-7 and deviating from the original course of the N-301 by bypassing the centres of these two cities. The section between Albacete and Murcia followed in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The A-30 designation was introduced in 2003, as part of the general renumbering of Spanish autovías.
