Auto-B-Good is an American animated series. The series features short stories set in the fictional City of Auto, in which all the citizens are cars. The program is explicitly designed to teach children lessons in moral character and values. Implicit messages of the series are that cars have personalities and that cities without pedestrians are normal. Auto-B-Good was produced by Wet Cement Productions, a Minnesota-based animation studio. In 2005 it won an Emmy award for graphics/animation in the non-news category and also was the recipient of three Aurora Awards. In 2006, Auto-B-Good won 4 more Emmy Awards for Audio/Post Production, Musical Composition/Arrangement, Graphic Arts and Animation, Children/Youth Program Feature/Segment/Special.
The first season consisted of 36 episodes, each focusing on a particular character trait.
In 2006, Wet Cement completed 26 episodes for the second season. It started broadcast in April 2006 and was on store shelves in August of that year.
Johnny
Johnny is cool and daring. He loves high speeds and a glossy shine! His best friends are Cali and Miles . His favorite thing to do is race to Squeakies Car Wash to get “squeaky clean” and show off his shine.
Cali
Cali is, like, the queen of Auto City – or so she'd tell you. She hangs out with Johnny and Maria, and if you tell her there's a sale in town, she'd be like totally gone before you could finish your sentence!
EJ
One of the “little cars,” EJ puts his all into everything he does. He tries hard to keep up with the big guys – and wants to be just like Johnny when he grows up. His best friend is his classmate Izzi.
Izzi
Izzi ( Issadora ) is innocent, bright eyed and curious about everything. Izzi is the ultimate child. She loves to play with EJ, but can get frustrated at being the littlest and not always able to do what the others can.
Professor's inventions would be world-renowned, except they usually go awry. A bit eccentric, a bit analytical, but with a heart of gold that makes him beloved by all.
Franklin
Old and wise, Franklin has lived a full life, and can – and does – speak from experience to give advice on almost anything. He and the Professor are good friends and both act as mentors to the “kids.”
