Our school is a six-year non-denominational school which serves the seaside towns of Stevenston and Saltcoats (south). Our current school roll is 648. We have the highest standards and expectations of ourselves and each other.

The school was opened in August 1971 after the closure of Stevenston Higher Grade, which had served the town as the main source of primary and secondary education for many years. The site of Stevenston High has been occupied by Glencairn Primary School since 1982. The School was officially opened on 8 November 1971. Its first intake was 26 August 1971.
