The Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) was founded in 1969. It represents the interests of international schools on the continent of Africa. AISA has a membership of schools which range in size from 20 to 3600 students. Strongly influenced by their location and cosmopolitan student enrolment all our member schools and organizations have an international focus. Through our programmes and services AISA provides for the varying needs of nearly 42,000 students and over 2,500 teachers and administrators. In partnership with our Associate Members, which are businesses, school-to-school partners, organizations, universities, and individuals from throughout the world, the Association serves as a support organization for international schools in 34 countries throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

AISA’s goal is, in collaboration with its Associate Members, to serve the varying needs of nearly 42,000 students and over 2,500 teachers and administrators.
