Asai Man Piyabanna (Sinhalese: ආසයි මං පියාඹන්න) is a 2007 Sri Lankan Sinhala musical romantic film directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya and produced by Dhammika Siriwardana for Alankulama Films. It stars Roshan Ranawana and Pooja Umashankar in lead roles along with Sanath Gunathilake and Upeksha Swarnamali. Music composed by Rohana Weerasinghe. It is the 1003rd Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema.
It released in November 2007 and was a big hit in Sri Lankan Film History in that year. This movie is a remake of 1999 Bollywood film Taal starring Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor and Akshay Khanna. It also received good reviews from Critics.
The music video for Piyabanna Asai was filmed in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
The film earned positive reviews at the box office and went on to become a huge commercial success. With this movie Pooja proved that She was the Most Successful Actress of Sri Lankan Movies and became a household name in Sri Lanka. The Songs of this film were most Melodious and beautifully picturised in the pristine locales of Sri Lanka and became hugely popular among the Sinhala Movie lovers.
