Arnold Peder Møller

Arnold Peder Møller more known as A.P. Møller (2 October 1876 in Dragør – 12 June 1965 in Copenhagen, buried at Hellerup Cemetery. He was the fifth son out of nine and had three sisters as well. His father was Sea Captain Peter Mærsk Møller. And he became the father of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller.

A. P. Møller is famous for building up the today worldwide Maersk cooperation. He started his work together with his father, by forming Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg i 1904 (English: The Steam Ship Company of Svendborg 1904). Eventually he did though want to start something of his own. And in 1912 he formed a shipping line of his own.
