Arin Joseph Hanson (born January 6, 1987) is an American Internet personality, comedian, voice actor, songwriter, rapper, animator, and cartoonist. He is mostly known as the founder and co-star of the popular YouTube Let's Play webseries Game Grumps and as one third of the video game-based parody musical trio Starbomb.
Hanson is also known as Egoraptor for his eponymous YouTube channel, which includes The Awesome Series, in which Hanson parodies various video game franchises, including Pokémon, Metal Gear, Ninja Gaiden, and Final Fantasy, and his animated comedy video game review series Sequelitis. He has also done voice acting for various series such as Rick and Morty, Mighty Magiswords and Cyanide & Happiness, and video games such as Dragon Age: Inquisition and Detective Grimoire. He regularly collaborates with his Starbomb co-members Ninja Sex Party, Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht (the former of which accompanies him on Game Grumps), providing guest vocals for their albums and appearing in their videos.
Arin Hanson was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. He attended Wellington High School in Wellington, Florida, for two years. Not given a schedule of classes for his junior year, he was informed that since he had moved, he could no longer attend Wellington High School. Instead of continuing at the new school, his mother allowed him to drop school entirely, leading him to pursue voice acting.
