Ares (Villains Remix) is a song by the indie/alternative rock band Bloc Party from their remix album "Intimacy Remixed". The song was remixed by the electronic music duo Villains for the remix album. The song was very positively received in contrast to the rest of the album, which received fairly negative reception.
The song was never received as a single, though a music video was made. It was filmed by fans on mobile phones, with the band then asking all those who had filmed the concert to send it in to their website. The clips were then compiled for a high energy music video for the song.
The original version of the song represented a drastic change to Bloc Party's older songs due to the very experimental nature of the song, incorporating elements of choral music with rapped verses by lead singer Kele Okereke. It has a very hardcore, mosh like delivery, compared to the ravey sound of the remix by Villains.
