Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria (27 October 1835 – 5 February 1840), was by birth an Archduchess of Austria and member of the House of Habsburg.
She was the fourth child and only daughter of Archduke Franz Karl of Austria and his wife, Princess Sophie of Bavaria, daughter of Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria and his second wife Caroline of Baden.
Named in honor of her paternal aunt Maria Anna of Savoy, who in March 1835 married with Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria, she was baptized with the names of Maria Anna Karolina Annunziata Johanna Josepha Gabriela Theresa Katharina Margaretha Philomena, although in the family she was called Ännchen.
At birth, she seemed to be robust but soon she started to show signs of epilepsy, finally dying aged 4 after a violent seizure. She was buried in the Ferdinand Vault at the Imperial Crypt, Vienna.
