Anu Prabhakar (Kannada: ಅನು ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್; born 9 November 1980) is an Indian film actress, who predominantly appears in Kannada films and is from Mangalore.

Anu Prabhakar is the daughter of M. V. Prabhakar and dubbing artist and actress Gayathri Prabhakar. She studied at Nirmala Rani High School in Malleshwaram. She dropped out of college as her career in acting took off. However, later, she completed her graduation in sociology from Karnataka University,

Anu Prabhakar first appeared as a child artist in the films Chapala Chennigaraya and Shanti Kranti. Her first film in a lead role came in the 1999 Kannada film, Hrudaya Hrudaya, that had Shivarajkumar paired opposite her. She acted with Vishnuvardhan in films like Soorappa, Jamindarru, Hrudayavantha, Sahukaara, Varsha. She has also acted in a few Tamil movies.

In her next film based on the life of 12th-century Kannada poet Akka Mahadevi, she plays a dual role; one of the poet and the other of Jyothi, a girl who pursues PhD on the poet.

Anu Prabhakar was honoured by Bangalore's Kolada Math, with the title 'Abhinaya Saraswathi' for her performance in various films. She has won other awards such as 'Kannada State Government best actress award 2000–01' and 'Cinema Express best actress'.

In 2009, she gave her voice to an HIV/AIDS education animated software tutorial created by the nonprofit organisation TeachAIDS.

Anu married Krishna Kumar, the son of actress Jayanthi in March 2002. Citing differences between them, they divorced in January 2014. In April 2016, she married Raghu Mukherjee, a model-turned-actor.
