Anthony Joseph Scirica (born December 16, 1940) is a senior judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Born December 16, 1940, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Scirica graduated from Wesleyan University in 1962 and received his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School in 1965.

Prior to his appointment to the federal bench in 1984, he practiced law in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, serving as an assistant district attorney, and was elected to the Court of Common Pleas. Scirica also served as a State Representative in the Pennsylvania General Assembly from 1971 to 1979. Scirica was a Republican representing parts of Montgomery County.

In 1984, Scirica was appointed to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He was elevated to the Court of Appeals in 1987. He became Chief Judge in 2003 when then-Chief Judge Edward Roy Becker assumed senior status. Scirica assumed senior status on July 1, 2013, following his appointment as a Senior Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

In 1994, Scirica was elected to the American Law Institute and was elected to the ALI Council in May 2011.

In 2008, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. of the U.S. Supreme Court named Judge Scirica to be chairman of the executive committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States.
