Anne L. Nathan is an American actress and singer.
After a few years of regional theatre, Nathan appeared as Fantine on the national tour of Les Misérables and appeared in the Off-Broadway show Swingtime Canteen. She made her Broadway debut in 1998 as Brigit in Ragtime. She went on to appear on Broadway as a replacement Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago and the original Ms. Flannery in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She left Millie shortly before closing to play Emma Goldman in the Broadway revival of Assassins. In 2007 she appeared in the Encores! staged concert production of Music in the Air.
In 2008, she played Harriet Pawling in the Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park With George, played Aunt Eva in the Stephen Sondheim Off-Broadway musical Road Show, and had a small part in the Amy Poehler/Tina Fey movie Baby Mama.
In 2010 she began playing Linda Avery on the web series Submissions Only and appeared in the play Wings off-Broadway. In 2011 she played Baruska in the musical Once off-Broadway. The show moved to Broadway in 2012, where it ran until 2014, the same year the third season of Submissions Only ended. She returned to Broadway in 2015 as Aunt Sheila and Mimsy in It Shoulda Been You.
She has also had numerous TV guest appearances, having been on five episodes of three different Law & Order's, and individual episodes of Veronica Mars and The Good Wife.
