Aninri is a Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Ndeaboh. Aninri is made up of five towns, Oduma, Nenwe, Ndeaboh, Mpu and Okpanku. Oduma is the largest of the five towns with a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants at the 2006 census. The local government Area has produced notable people both in Enugu State and Nigeria at large. Including, Abel Chukwu the former Speaker Enugu State house of Assembly from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007, the Former Enugu state chairman of the People's Democratic Party Chief Onyioha Nwanjoku, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremmadu who has been DSP from 2007-2015 and 2015-To date.

Aninri has an area of 364 km² and a population of 133,723 at the 2006 census.
