Andy Stack is one of the founding members of the band Wye Oak and a touring member of EL VY, as well as a remix artist and a composer and producer for film and television music. He is noted for his technique of performing drums, keyboard, and electronics simultaneously as part of Wye Oak.

Stack was born and raised outside of Baltimore, Maryland. He pursued music composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and then completed his degree in recording at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Stack and Jenn Wasner formed Wye Oak in 2006. To date, the band has released four studio albums and several EPs, and has toured extensively in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, including performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and a TV performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Wye Oak's album Civilian was named the best album of 2011 by The A.V. Club, and was featured on television in the popular series The Walking Dead and in the film, Safety Not Guaranteed.

In 2015-2016, Stack performed as the touring drummer for EL VY, featuring Matt Berninger of The National and Brent Knopf of Menomena/Ramona Falls, including television performances on Conan and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
