Andrew Hill Newman (born October 23, 1959) is an American actor, writer, and producer. He is best known for being George the Bra on iCarly. He attended the University of Vermont.
Newman has had small roles in films including Mannequin, Maniac Cop 2 and Lethal Weapon 3. His stage credit includes starring the 1987 Off-Broadway musical Birds of Paradise. In 1991, Andrew appeared on an episode of the TV series Night Court as FBI Agent Ray DeLornzo. Newman has had guest starring roles in television series such as Arrested Development, L.A. Law as Jerry Svetka, NYPD Blue, Ellen, Fired Up, Smart Guy, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Zoey 101, Dream On, Murder, She Wrote, The Commish, Major Dad, Doogie Howser, M.D. and Blossom.
Since 1998, Newman has worked as a writer for several series created by actor-turned-television producer Dan Schneider, especially those produced for Nickelodeon. Newman began working with Schneider as a writer for the short-lived UPN sitcom Guys Like Us, and subsequently afterward was a staff writer for the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series The Amanda Show; in addition, he played a number of characters on The Amanda Show.
