Andrew Blackman (born 2 August 1965 in Brisbane) is an Australian actor and theatre director.
Blackman's first real public performance was in a High School Musical called Teen whilst attending Dakabin State High School. He graduated Kelvin Grove College of Advance Education in 1984 with an Associate Diploma in Performing Arts and was granted the Elizabeth Bequest Scholarship with T.N. Theatre Co., a year-long apprenticeship in theatre making that led to performing two seasons of Shakespeare with the Grin & Tonic Theatre Troupe. On graduating NIDA with a Degree in Acting, Blackman was cast on television as a regular cast member on both A Country Practice (as Dr. Harry Morrison) and Neighbours (as Mike Healy). Other credits include Stingers, Blue Heelers, City Homicide and Satisfaction. From 2006–2007 Blackman co-starred in the TV series Mortified as Taylor Fry's dad Don Fry Andrew Blackman is Artistic Director of Complete Works Theatre Company, directing and producing Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Man for All Seasons, Cosi and The Crucible, Phat Poetry and Monkey Fights the Water Dragon.
In 2011 and 2014, Blackman appeared as "Huxley" in the worldwide smash hit, Walking with Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular. He appeared on the television, 'Ellen' accompanying Noah Ritter to the show. More recent television roles include : Winners and Losers, Underbelly and Wentworth in 2013.
