André van der Merwe (conductor)

André van der Merwe is a conductor and composer from Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa. He studied for his Bachelor of Music at the University of Cape Town but due to an injury he changed his studies to a Bachelor of Drama (Directing).

Currently he is the conductor of 3 choirs: the Stellenberg Girls Choir, the Stellenbosch University Choir, and the South African Youth Choir.
