Ancel Edwin is an Indian rock singer from Kerala. He has been the lead vocalist for several Indian rock bands since 1984. He is currently the lead singer of the Ancel Edwin Band. Edwin was instrumental in introducing and defining rock music in Kerala. He was honoured by All For Rock Kerala in 2011 for his contributions in defining Rock Music in Kerala.
His music program on Kappa TV, Music Mojo, was a well-appreciated program. He has also sung for Malayalam movies. His musical show ROAR (Rock For A Reason) in January 2011 was a huge hit in Cochin.
He received an offer from Westlife and could not take up the assignment due to personal reasons. Edwin has trained and groomed many prominent singers in India.
He was invited to Shiva Band of Kolkata, 13AD of Cochin by Elloy Issacs and Nemisis Avenue where A.R Rahman was playing, but he could not join them.
