Altona City SC are an Australian association football (soccer) club from Altona, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The club was formed in 1965 as a predominantly Scottish club. The club played in the Victorian State League from 1977–1981. In the 1990s the club was promoted 2 years in a row taking back into state league 1, In the 2000s the club then come one of the heavy hitters in women's soccer having a team in the WPL, The clubs most notable illumni includes Socceroos great Alan Edward Davidson and current Socceroo Jason Davidson . The club has produced many Socceroos and is one of major development clubs in Victoria.
After the getting prompted in the 2015 season the club has appointed Andy O'Dell as head coach for the remainder 2016 season. Later that month, Altona City announced a partnership with ambitions NPL Victoria club Avondale FC, where knowledge would be shared between coaches, inner workings at both clubs would be studied and an NPL pathway would be offered to Altona City players via Avondale.
Just before the start of the 2016 State League 2 North-West season, Altona City signed former Melbourne Knights FC and Werribee City FC player Ryan Filipović
