Allestree Woodlands School (formerly Woodlands School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located on Blenheim Drive in Allestree, Derby in the East Midlands of England.
The school is for pupils aged 11–18. About 220 students enrol at the school in any one academic year, with about 1335 in total.
The school was opened as Woodlands Secondary Modern School in 1956. It became a comprehensive in 1975, and was awarded specialist status as a Technology College in September 2004. The school converted to academy status in 2012. The school has just finished going through a 90% rebuilding project. However, there has been critisicm of this new build due to a lack of eating area for people bringing a packed lunch.
The school gets good results at GCSE, being the fourth best in Derby LEA. At A level, it is excellent and the second best in Derby.
