Alkatrazz were a British heavy metal band from Maidstone which signed to RCA Records in 1981 and produced two albums. The band consisted of Bob Jenner, guitars, Craig Stevens, vocals, Gary Bevan on bass, and Nick Parsons on drums. They released their first single, "Rocking High", in April 1981, then supported Tygers of Pan Tang on a UK tour. They recorded the album Young Blood at London's Magritte and Regents Park studios and it was released in May. Alkatrazz promoted the album by touring with Samson and in August appeared on the BBC Friday Rock Show. A second album Radio 5 and a fourth and final single followed the next year, but the band disbanded shortly afterwards.
