Ali Shah Chak

Ali Shah Chak was a ruler of Kashmir and father of Yousuf Shah Chak. He ruled from 1570 AD to 1578 AD. Chaks originally were Dards residents of Gilgit Huza area. They successfully resisted the attempts of Babur and Himayun to annex Kashmir. He dethroned Hassan Shah Chak in 1570 AD and became the new king of Kashmir. He died in 1578 AD and was buried in Srinagar Kashmir.
