Lieutenant-General Aleksandr Petrovich Chumakov (Belarusian: Аляксандр Пятровіч Чумакоў; born on 26 November 1941) was the Minister of Defence of Belarus from 1 November 1996 to 28 March 2001. He was preceded by Anatoly Kostenko and succeeded by Leonid Maltsev.
Chumakov commanded the 120th Guards Motor Rifle Division from 1980. In June 1986, he became commander of the 20th Army. In August 1988, he became chief of staff of the Belorussian Military District. After serving as a Soviet adviser in North Korea, Chumakov was a member of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Transnistria. Between December 1995 and October 1996, he was chief of the Belorussian General Staff.
