Alejandro Guillier

Alejandro René Eleodoro Guillier Álvarez (born La Serena, Coquimbo Region, Chile, March 5, 1953) is a sociologist, television and radio journalist, and independent politician. He is a Senator of the 2nd District of Antofagasta and 2017 Presidential candidate of the Social Democrat Radical Party.

He seeks to be endorsed as the New Majority presidential candidate in the New Majority primary for the 2017 election to replace term-limited president Michele Bachelet. Among others, he faces former PPD President Ricardo Lagos.
