Africanictis is an extinct species of carnivorous cat-like mammals belonging to the superfamily Aeluroidea, endemic to Africa from the Miocene 23.03—11.610 Ma, existing for approximately 11.42 million years.
Africanictis is shown to have an omnivorous diet or more precisely, hypercarnivorous to mesocarnivorous.
Africanictis was named by Morales et al. (1998). It was assigned to Stenoplesictinae by Morlo et al. (2007).
