Acme Township is a civil township of Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 4,375, slightly up from 4,332 at the 2000 census.

It takes its name from the Greek word meaning summit.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 25.3 square miles (66 km2), of which 25.2 square miles (65 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) (0.63%) is water.

This climatic region has large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Acme Township has a humid continental climate, abbreviated "Dfb" on climate maps.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4,332 people, 1,667 households, and 1,231 families residing in the township. The population density was 172.1 people per square mile (66.5/km²). There were 2,215 housing units at an average density of 88.0 per square mile (34.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.30% White, 0.23% African American, 0.28% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 1.06% from other races, and 0.78% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.10% of the population.
