Abington High School is a public high school located in Abington, Massachusetts. It is located at 201 Gliniewicz Way and has an enrollment of 584 students in grades 9–12. The school's mascot is the Green Wave and the school colors are Green and White. Abington High School is known best for its outstanding football program, which has won four state titles and seven league championships since 2002. Gliniewicz Way was named after Richard Francis Gliniewicz born December 12, 1947 and was killed in South Vietnam on May 31, 1969. He was a 1966 graduate of Abington High School.

Abington is well known for its athletics program and most notably its football program. Abington has been referred many times as "The Cream of the Crop" in Southeastern Massachusetts. The football team has won four State Championships (2002, 2005, 2012, 2014). They have also won ten South Shore League Championships in 1975, 1981, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, and 2013. They have also had three undefeated teams in 2006, 2008, and 2012. All of these accomplishments have come under the tutelage of legendary head football coach Jim Kelliher, who has been at the helm since 1971. Abington has also recently won state championships in baseball (2009) and basketball (2009). Abington is also well known for the longtime chant of "Green Wave Pride" or GWP, which is labeled on the football helmets and jerseys as well as the football field and on every other sports jersey in the school.

Abington's football team won its third state championship in school history in 2012. they defeated St. Mary's High School of Lynn, Massachusetts in the Division 4 State Championship by a score of 14–8. Abington also capped an undefeated season in 2012 with the win, ending the season with a 13–0 record.

In 2014, the Green Wave once again advanced to the state championship game against Northbridge High School. They defeated league rival East Bridgewater High School in the sectional finals, avenging their lone loss of the season, which was for the South Shore League Large Championship. The Green Wave won its fourth state championship with a 36-6 blowout victory over Northbridge High School on December 6, 2014 at Gillette Stadium.
