A Thief in Paradise is a 1925 American silent film, produced by Samuel Goldwyn, directed by George Fitzmaurice, and adapted by Frances Marion from Leonard Merrick's novel The Worldlings (1900). The film is now considered a lost film.

Maurice Blake and Philip Jardine are pearl fishers on a tropical island. The two men are fighting underwater for a pearl when Jardine is killed by a shark.

His mistress, Rosa Carmino, has a letter from Jardine's wealthy father, urging him to return to San Francisco. Since the elder Jardine has never seen his grown son, Carmino convinces Blake to go in his place. Blake is welcomed into the Jardine household and falls in love with Helen Saville, the daughter of a neighbor. The couple marries, but on their wedding night, the jealous Carmino tells Helen that she is Blake's mistress.
