A Temper of Peace is the third album by Martin Page, released in 2012. It features the songs fourteen songs, including "Soulprint", a ballad with its own music video and "I Can't Get There Without You" which was covered by The Osmonds. It also features an updated version of "Healing Waters", originally on the charity album Abrazos 2007, and features additional vocal layering. Although written by Page, "Healing Waters" was first covered by Starship in 1989.
The album was Martin Page's first album to feature him in all the instruments and production. Page has stated that he was going for a McCartney approach to the album, citing that McCartney would produce his early albums completely. The album is perhaps the most diverse range for Page, with pop songs such as "The Washing of the Heart", adult contemporary songs such as, "Ruby Rae" and "Hungry Ghost", the soft rock song, "When the Harvest Is In", which was played first live during his tour promoting In the House of Stone and Light, and folk songs including "I'll Grow Old With You" and "Sweet Killeney Hill". The first two songs, "Halo" and "The Washing of the Heart" lead into each other. There is a short instrumental song, "Titch", between "Hungry Ghost" and "What Did I Do to Deserve You".
All tracks written by Martin Page.
