The 5th Troop Carrier Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with the Tenth Air Force, based at Selfridge Field, Michigan. It was inactivated on 27 June 1949.

Operational training unit prior to December 1942; replacement training for glider crews, c. December 1942-April 1944; provided training for army airborne units, and ferried gliders, 1943–1944.
