The 4Syte TV Music Video Awards were established in 2009 by 4syte TV to celebrate and award the best music videos in Ghana.

As part of the awards ceremony, two non-competitive categories “Lifetime Achievement Awards” and “Living Legend Award” is presented annually to deserving individuals (Dead or alive) who have contributed immensely to the development of their respective fields.

The Most Influential Artist which has replaced the “Overall Best Video” category acknowledging that it will celebrate innovation and creative impact the video has made. The net worth, branding and influence of the artiste both home and abroad are also taken into consideration here. Since this category replaced the "Overall best video" in 2013, Sarkodie has won it twice in a row.
