The 31st Rifle Division was an infantry division of the Soviet Union's Red Army during World War II.
The division was established at Yerevan before 1941. Started war in the Transcaucasus Military District's 40th Rifle Corps alongside the 9th Rifle Division. Fought at Taganrog, Rostov, Stalingrad, Kursk, and in the Iasi-Kishinev Offensive and Vistula-Oder operation. With 52nd Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front in May 1945.
The division was disbanded in July 1946 along with the 78th Rifle Corps in the Carpathian Military District.
