2 ft 6 in gauge railways
The 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) rail gauge is similar to 760 mm (2 ft 5 15⁄16 in) Bosnian gauge and 750 mm (2 ft 5 1⁄2 in) gauge. In the mid-to-late 1800s, this gauge was promoted by Thomas Hall and Everard Calthrop to reduce costs.
