25 Jaar Na Daddy Cool is a compilation album of recordings by Boney M. released by BMG in the Netherlands in 2000. The album includes a number of rare versions.
The two disc thirty-eight track compilation which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the release of breakthrough single "Daddy Cool" was a co-production between BMG Netherlands and The Liz Mitchell Fan Club and is generally regarded as one of the best Boney M. collections among fans of the group since it gathers the longest versions of the band's best known songs available in digital format, instead of the many short edits used on previous compilations, as well as the most recent remix hits at the time. 25 Jaar Na Daddy Cool also saw the CD debut of six rare tracks, single B-sides "New York City" and "Strange" from 1976 and 1980 respectively and the unedited versions of 1982 single "The Carnival Is Over" and Oceans of Fantasy track "Ribbons Of Blue", originally the B-side of single "Hooray! Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday". As special bonuses it contained a 1999 remix of "Going Back West" previously only available in South Africa, as well as an exclusive new remix of 1978 hit "Rivers of Babylon" by Regi of Belgian band Milk Inc., also issued as a single in the Netherlands in late 2000.
In Belgium the compilation was released by BMG as The Ultimate Collection and in late 2001 it was re-issued twice by another Belgian label, Hot Town Music-Paradiso; the first edition as a double disc release entitled Greatest Hits and the second as a single disc containing CD one only and then renamed The Best of Boney M. – Original Hits.
