The 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be the tenth edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer championship contested by men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. Previous editions before 2005 were not governed by FIFA and were held under the title Beach Soccer World Championships. Overall this will be the 20th edition of the World Cup since its establishment in 1995. This will be the fifth tournament to take place under the biennial basis; the World Cup now takes place once every two years, after taking place annually between 1995 and 2009.
The tournament was confirmed publicly on November 3, 2017 during the annual FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop in Dubai as part of the recently renewed partnership between FIFA and Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW). The World Cup is scheduled for either July or November 2019.
The following countries have expressed interest in bidding to host the competition.
The process of qualification to the World Cup finals will begin in 2018.
Currently, three qualifying tournaments have been confirmed for Africa, Oceania and Europe: The 2018 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations will take place in Egypt and the 2018 OFC Beach Soccer Championship will materialise in Tahiti from 15–22 September. The UEFA qualifiers will take place in 2018 if the World Cup is confirmed for July or, alternatively, 2019 if the finals are ultimately scheduled for November.
