The 2018 Texas State Bobcats football team represents Texas State University in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bobcats play their home games at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos, Texas, and compete in the Sun Belt Conference. They are led by third-year head coach Everett Withers.
Texas State have yet to announce its 2018 football schedule. The 2018 schedule consists of 6 home and away games in the regular season. The Bobcats will host Sun Belt foes Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, and Louisiana, and will travel to Georgia State, Louisiana–Monroe, South Alabama, and Troy.
The Bobcats have non-conference games scheduled at Rutgers and at UTSA in the I-35 Showdown, while they host the Texas Southern and New Mexico State.
After the 2017 season, Texas State hired Kyle Hoke as their 10th assistant coach. Defensive coordinator, Randall McCray, left San Marcos to join the coaching staff of the Arizona Cardinals, and Director of Football Operations, John Streicher, joined the staff of the Tennessee Titans. Withers promoted equipment manager, Zack Lucas, to Director of Football Operations.
As of February 16th, Withers has yet to name a replacement for McCray.
