The 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series is the 23rd season of the Verizon IndyCar Series and the 97th official championship season of American open wheel racing. The premier event will be the 102nd Indianapolis 500. Taking place 10 years after the IndyCar/Champ Car unification, it will be the first season that all IndyCar Series car will feature the all-new universal bodywork inspired by CART's 1990s bodywork (roll hoop without airbox) despite still keeping Dallara DW12 chassis.
