The 2018 IIHF World Championship Division I will be an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
The Group A tournament will be held in Budapest, Hungary and the Group B tournament will be held in Kaunas, Lithuania from 22 to 28 April 2018. The bid for Warsaw was withdrawn by Poland in favour for Budapest since Poland hosted events in 2015 and 2016 and plans to move forward with its application for another year.
