The 2018 2. Divisjon is the Norwegian football third-tier league. The league will be consisted of 28 teams divided into 2 groups of 14 teams.
The league will be played as a double round-robin tournament, where all teams will play 26 matches.
The following teams have changed division since the 2017 season.

Relegated from OBOS-ligaen
Promoted to OBOS-ligaen
Relegated to 3. Divisjon
The teams who finish in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other over two legs. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in OBOS-ligaen for a place in the 2019 OBOS-ligaen.
