The 2017 V.League 1 (known as the Toyota V.League 1 for sponsorship reasons) season is the 34th season of the V.League 1, the highest division of Football in Vietnam. The season began on 7 January 2017 and finish on 29 October 2017.
The following teams have changed division since the 2016 season.
Promoted from V.League 2
Relegated to V.League 2
There is no longer a play-off match this season, so there is only one direct relegation slot.
In January 2017, Hà Nội T&T were renamed Hà Nội and QNK Quảng Nam were renamed Quảng Nam.

V.League teams are allowed to use two foreign players and one naturalised player
