The 2017 Seattle Sounders FC season is the club's thirty-third season of existence, their ninth in Major League Soccer, and their ninth consecutive season in the top flight of American soccer. The Sounders will enter the 2017 season as the defending MLS Cup champions. The 2017 season will be Brian Schmetzer's first full MLS season as head coach of the Sounders.
