The 2017 Liga Satu season will be the 60th season of top-flight football in Indonesia (under PSSI), and the inaugural season with new name Liga Satu replacing Indonesia Super League.Persib Bandung are the defending champions. The season was planned to be started on 15 April 2017.

For this season PSSI and the league operator decided to use foreign referees due to the number of complaints from the club on the performance of local referees.

2017 Liga 1 season will be followed by 18 clubs from 2015 Indonesia Super League.

Note: Flags indicate national team as has been defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players and Managers may hold more than one non-FIFA nationality.

PSSI restricted the number of foreign players strictly to four per team, including a slot for a player from AFC countries. A team could use four foreign players on the field each game including a least one player from the AFC confederation.
