The 2017 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team will represent the Georgia Institute of Technology in the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Yellow Jackets will be led by tenth-year head coach Paul Johnson and will play their home games at Bobby Dodd Stadium. They are a member of the Coastal Division in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Georgia Tech ended the 2016 season with a 9-4 overall record, 4-4 in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets ended the season winning 6 of its last 7 games, defeating arch rival Georgia in Athens 28-27, and finishing the season with a 33-18 Taxslayer Bowl Championship against Kentucky. Georgia Tech returns 16 starters on its 2017 roster, 7 on Offense, and 9 on Defense. Tech replaces both specialists and loses veteran Orange Bowl MVP Justin Thomas.
