The 2017 Davis Cup is the 106th edition of the Davis Cup, a tournament between national teams in men's tennis. It is sponsored by BNP Paribas.

The eight losing teams in the World Group first round ties and eight winners of the Zonal Group I final round ties will compete in the World Group Play-offs for spots in the 2018 World Group.

Seeding: The seeding was based on the Davis Cup Rankings of 10 April 2017 (shown in parentheses below).
Format: Round-robin basis. For eight teams they must be divided into two groups of four teams in each group. For other number of teams the Davis Cup Committee will decide the composition of teams in each group. The winner of each group plays off against the runner-up (or the winner) of the other groups to determine which two teams are promoted to Americas Zone Group II in 2018.
