The 2017 Christy Ring Cup is the 13th staging of the Christy Ring Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. It is the second tier of senior inter-county championship hurling.

Meath won the 2016 Christy Ring Cup following a 4-21 to 5-17 defeat of Antrim after extra time in a replayed final. The first final finished with a controversial Meath victory of 2-18 to 1-20 over Antrim. However, confusion remained over the final score as an extra point had been added to Meath's score during the course of the match and had not been corrected. The CCCC met to discuss the outcome, and decided to replay the fixture on the 25th of June.

The 2017 Christy Ring Cup is played in a double-elimination format. For clarity, the draw details are detailed in the section for each round below.
