The 2017–18 Scottish Cup is the 133rd season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament is sponsored by bookmaker William Hill in what is the seventh season of a nine-year partnership, after contract negotiations saw the initial five-year contract extended for an additional four years in October 2015.
The defending champions will be Celtic who won the 2017 Scottish Cup Final on 27 May 2017.
This season's Scottish Cup was unique as more than a third of the sides remaining in the last 64 were based in one of Scotland's seven cities. Twenty-two city based clubs made it to the Second Round or further with seven from Edinburgh, five from Glasgow, three from Aberdeen, two from Dundee, two from Inverness, two from Stirling and one from Perth, making the competition the least provincial it has been in its history when there have been 64 or more teams participating.
