The 2017–18 UEFA Youth League will be the fifth season of the UEFA Youth League, a European youth club football competition organised by UEFA.
Red Bull Salzburg are the title holders. Starting from this season, the UEFA Youth League title holders are given an automatic berth in the Domestic Champions path if there is a vacancy. However, they will enter the UEFA Champions League path if their senior team qualify for the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League group stage.
A total of 64 teams from a minimum of 32 of the 55 UEFA member associations enter the tournament. They are split into two sections:
Players must be born on or after 1 January 1999, with a maximum of three players per team born between 1 January 1998 and 31 December 1998 allowed.
