The 2017–18 CD Travadores season were in the island division of football (soccer).

Travadores started off fourth as they defeated AD Ribeira Grande 1-2 in their next challenge with that club in a couple of seasons, their last was in 2012. Currently in the season, Travadores was 11th place as of the 4th round of championship competition. Their positions made it roughly the same as they were last season, moderate. Travadores had a three match losing streak, followed by a two match winning streak with their last over Bairro where they scored their first home goal (next in five matches), then another three match losing streak with the last one a 1-0 loss to the unpowerful club Tira Chapéu which was Travadores' first ever match with that club and was eight for a few rounds. At the end of 2017, Travadores had just nine points. Their recent matches were a single goal draw, first with Benfica one of the Premier Division's weakest in history, then with the same result with Santiago South's strongest club Sporting. Travadores now has 11 points and got the seventh position from Tchadense. Travadores had an unheard defeat to a lesser known club AD Ribeira Grande from the west in the south of the island, they lost at home 0-2 but both clubs played at the stadium and lost a position to 9th place which Travadores became a crumbling club, also it was their downturn from their earlier successes up to 2014. A small relief was done as they made a goal draw with Académica on January 28 and was still 9th as the club was never inside the relegation zone. Travadores suffered with a huge 0-6 loss to Boavista on February 3 and conceded more than 25 goals. In their positions, Benfica Praia's, Tira Chapéu's and Eugênio Lima's losses (the last three positions) had kept their relief from relegation for Travadores and remains to be 9th place. A round later, Travadores suffered a nine match winless streak and suffered another loss, this time to Desportivo, the club remained 9th, Benfica's loss still had point more, Travadores had a two point difference over 11th placed Tira Chapéu due to their win, Travadores remains to be relieved from relegation. Travadores continued to suffer another loss which was their third straight and their tenth match winless streak, they lost to last placed Eugénio Lima 1-2 on February 16, Benfica's loss to Academica and Tira Chapéu's loss to Bairro kept Travadores continuing to be relieved from relegation. Travadores finally made another win in the next ten matches, they defeated Bairro 1-2 in their revenge on being in the lower positions and had 15 points and remains 9th, Travadores further escaped from the relegation zone. This continued with another win as they defeated Tchadense 2-1 on March 3 and had 18 points, five more than their co-affiliate Benfica. It etched a but as Travadores suffered another loss, it was to Celtic (once rarely heard) on March 10, they hav 16 goals, the third fewest and conceded 36 goals, the third worst in Santiago South. Travadores performed a miracle as they made a win with a surprising result of 6-0 which became the club's highest in several seasons and also throwing out that club into the Second Division next season. Along with Ribeira Grande, Travadores fully escaped the relegation zone as Travadores had 21 points and 22 goals scored. Travadores lost to their affiliate Benfica Praia 1-2, it was their club's back to back, they remained ninth, also it was their last loss for the seasom, Their final challenge was with Sporting, surprisingly Travadores defeated Sporting 1-2 in their rivalry and finished with 24 points and 25 goals scored, unexpectedly only five were home goals. This was a pretext that Travadores may try in the upcoming cup final.
