The 2017–18 season is Brentford's 128th year in existence and fourth consecutive season in the Championship. Along with competing in the Championship, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and League Cup.
The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018.
As of 15 June 2017 Brentford have announced six pre-season friendlies against Oxford United, Aldershot Town, Milton Keynes Dons,Southampton,Celta de Vigo and Lausanne-Sport.

On 21 June 2017, the league fixtures were announced.
On 16 June 2017, the draw for the first round took place with a trip to AFC Wimbledon confirmed. Another away tie was drawn for the second round, against Queens Park Rangers.
