The 2016–17 Kilmarnock F.C. season will be the club's 24th consecutive season in the Scottish top-flight. Kilmarnock will compete for the Scottish Premiership, Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.

23 May- Shortly after their 4-1 aggregate victory over Falkirk in the Premiership play-off final, Kilmarnock confirmed that they would not be renewing the contracts of Lee Ashcroft, Conor Brennan, Julien Faubert, Alex Henshall, Chris Johnston and Aaron Splaine. Club captain Mark Connolly had the last year of his contract cancelled while seven other players; Conrad Balatoni, Kallum Higginbotham, Dale Carrick, Kevin McHattie, Mark O'Hara, Tope Obadeyi and David Syme; were told they were free to leave the club.

24 May- Despite offering Craig Slater a new contract, the midfielder confirmed he had rejected the deal and announced his intention to leave the club.

27 May- Kilmarnock were drawn in Group H along with Greenock Morton, Berwick Rangers, Albion Rovers and Clyde in the Betfred Cup.
